Make a difference as a Licensed Land Surveyor Ackerman Estvold Engineering and Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join our dynamic Boise team. In this vital role, you will conduct thorough surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and essential site data. Utilizing advanced surveying techniques and state-of-the-art equipment, such as GPS and total stations, you will ensure the accuracy of your findings. Collaboration with engineers, architects, and clients is crucial as you prepare topographic maps and deliver detailed reports in a timely manner. You'll interpret legal documents to establish property boundaries and provide construction stakeout services for various infrastructure projects. As a licensed land surveyor, you will also oversee and mentor junior surveyors, ensuring high-quality results that comply with all regulations. What matters most To be successful as a Professional Land Surveyor with Ackerman Estvold Engineering and Consulting in Boise, you will need a robust skill set and experience. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, geography, or a related field is key, along with a minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience. You must hold a Professional Land Surveyor license in at least one state. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary, and you should be adept at learning company-specific software and tools. Key attributes include a strong understanding of ALTA/NSPS standards, boundary law principles, and real property legal descriptions. Your experience should encompass reviewing ALTA surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, and delivering CAD/GIS outputs using tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Effective management of external consultants and a working knowledge of title commitments and easements will be crucial.
