Job Summary: Under general direction, this experienced role uses specialized recruiting knowledge and skills to initiate a high volume of outbound calls to experienced financial advisors with the goal of creating interest in exploring an affiliation with Raymond James. Using a consultative approach, assist advisors to identify the best affiliation option for their practice and work to create next steps with our recruiting partners. Conduct follow-up calls, arrange next steps, and continue to collaborate in the recruiting process with the advisor(s) and all relationships on a proactive basis. Act in a professional sales and marketing capacity to build relationships and help meet firm, team, and individual goals. The opportunity is eligible for commission, in addition to the annual base salary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: u00b7 Initiates a high volume of outbound sales calls, including cold calls to advisors and keeping existing prospects engaged with their recruiting partners. u00b7 Sources experienced financial advisors and/or financial institutions interested in affiliating with Raymond James to meet specific recruiting goals. u00b7 Makes referrals based on the consultantu2019s analysis of a best fit business model profiling process including next step exploration. u00b7 Sets meetings for recruiters/managers. u00b7 Makes outbound calls to schedule, confirm and or follow-up after meetings have occurred. u00b7 Identifies other business models based on advisor feedback and in consultation with their recruiting partners. u00b7 Cultivates relationships with all recruiting partners. u00b7 Assists in the development of business development strategies. u00b7 Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: u2022 Concepts, practices and procedures of business development in a financial services environment. u2022 Investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry. u2022 Principles of finance and securities industry operations. u2022 Financial markets and products. Skill in: u00b7 Sourcing and developing sales prospects using a proprietary CRM. u00b7 Cultivating business development strategies. u00b7 Making a high volume of outbound cold calls and turning them into recruiting opportunities. u00b7 Maintaining relationships with recruiting partners. u00b7 Effective questioning and listening techniques, including handling of objections. u00b7 Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases. Ability to: u00b7 Familiarity with and ability to partner with other areas of the firm to accomplish objectives. u00b7 Research, interpret, analyze and apply information about prospects. u00b7 Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. u00b7 Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels to accomplish objectives. u00b7 Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Educational/Previous Experience Requirements: u2022 Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or financial services. ~or~ u2022 An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
