Fixed Asset Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Fixed Asset Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations for a company based in Birmingham, Alabama. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in fixed asset accounting, general ledger management, and team leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including tracking acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules. u2022 Lead month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. u2022 Supervise general ledger activities and ensure proper reconciliation of accounts. u2022 Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Oversee financial statement audits, collaborating with external auditors to ensure compliance. u2022 Monitor and analyze financial data, providing insights to support strategic decision-making. u2022 Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency. u2022 Guide and mentor the accounting team, encouraging attention to detail and collaboration. u2022 Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls. u2022 Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align accounting practices with organizational goals. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in fixed asset accounting and general ledger management. u2022 Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial statement preparation. u2022 Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry management. u2022 Familiarity with financial audits and compliance requirements. u2022 Excellent leadership and team management skills. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and tools. u2022 Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
