Description Position Summary:The Engineering Intern will support efforts to prepare engineering data for multiple upcoming projects. This includes, but is not limited to, developing drawings and calculations for new railroad bridges, updating structural and track standards, contributing to the High-Wide and Heavy repository, assisting with public project agreement routing, and supporting invoicing for Section 130 projects. Responsibilities: + Perform calculations and develop drawings for new bridge projects. + Update bridge and track standards by researching best practices and developing calculations to create consistent standards across the network. + Collaborate with the Public Projects Manager to route agreements, research potential projects, and assist with billing/invoicing. + Support the structural engineering team on various miscellaneous projects. + Provide regular progress updates to the supervisor. Required Skills and Experience: + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. + Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD is preferred, but not required. Required Education and Credentials: + Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a related major. + Must have a valid drivers license.
