The Accounting Manager will play a key role in strengthening the accounting functionu2014overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and special projects across the different lines of business. This position is ideal for a proactive leader seeking career advancement, who can drive automation and process improvement throughout the accounting department. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the financial operations: ensuring accurate cost accounting and inventory analysis. u2022 Conduct detailed evaluations of standard versus actual costs and analyze purchase price variances. u2022 Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries. u2022 Develop and implement financial models using tools such as Power BI to support decision-making and strategic planning. u2022 Supervise and mentor entry-level accounting staff, including a Staff Accountant and Accounts Payable Specialist. u2022 Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations for improving operational efficiency and reducing costs. u2022 Ensure compliance with financial regulations and auditing standards, preparing for annual audits. u2022 Utilize Microsoft Dynamics and other software tools to streamline accounting processes. u2022 Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing actionable insights to management. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. u2022 At least 6-8 years of accounting experience, with a preference for candidates with manufacturing experience. u2022 Proven management experience, including supervising accounting teams. u2022 Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and purchase price variance analysis. u2022 Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Power BI. u2022 Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Dynamics and Continia for accounting and invoice processing. u2022 Ability to manage month-end close processes and reconcile accounts accurately. u2022 Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively guide and support team members.
