Description: You will be the Software Engineer - Safety, Sr Stf for the F-22 System Safety Team which is responsible for executing a System Safety program that identifies and controls safety hazards to an acceptable risk. What You Will Be Doing As the Software Engineer - Safety, Sr Stf you will be responsible for performing analyses for hazard identification, evaluation, control, and coordination in support of software safety activities for the Fu201122 platform. Your responsibilities will include: + Support software development, test, and release cycles as a safety expert. + Develop and execute the System Safety Program Plan. + Conduct functional hazard, fault tree, preliminary hazard, and software hazard analyses using quantitative and qualitative techniques. + Lead contractual effort(s) and mentor the safety team to meet deadlines with high technical quality. + Coordinate system safety activities with design teams, suppliers, internal management, and external customers. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelors degree in STEM Discipline (Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering preferred) u2022 Full life-cycle experience with system safety analyses, standards, and tools u2022 Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams in the resolution of highly complex issues, including direct interaction with senior leadership within company and customer organizations and a demonstrated ability to deal with complex and challenging customer and supplier relationships u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with communicating cross-functionally Desired Skills: u2022 Safety critical software architectural design, coding or test experience u2022 Software quality experience u2022 Experience with software safety requirements across the full development lifecycle from hazard identification through development to system/software qualification test. u2022 Military or civilian flight experience u2022 Knowledge of MIL-STD-882, MIL-HDBK-516, ARP-4761, and/or ARP-4754 u2022 Knowledge of FAA and military regulations and processes u2022 Previous experience writing technical reports on complex subject matter u2022 Experience with military or government programs u2022 Knowledge of Statistical Analysis Methods u2022 Model-based system engineering (MBSE) experience u2022 Experience working with international customers and suppliers u2022 Government contract execution experience Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
