JOB REQUIREMENTS: Cleans interior surfaces, including but not limitedto, vacuuming and extracting carpets; cleans, strips, waxes and bufffloors; cleans light fixtures, furniture, walls and windows; cleans andsanitizes resident rooms and restrooms, collects and disposes waste,sanitizes garbage cans and ensures adequate stock of supplies are onhand. Part-time, 20 hours/week, includes weekends The position iscurrently scheduled for every Thursday and Friday from 7am-1pm and e/oweekend from 7am-3:30pm Essential Duties Performs housekeeping tasks asin: extracts carpets & upholstered furniture; cleans, scrubs, strips andwaxes floors, scrubs and wi-wax floors; dusts, washes, and polishesfurniture, equipment and building surfaces, disinfects as required.Operates various types of cleaning equipment, both mechanical andelectrical, e.g. buffers, wringers, scrubbers, extractors and vacuumsCleans equipment and requests work order for equipment needing repair.Reports safety hazards to supervisor. Climbs ladders to reach high areasfor cleaning purposes Collects and disposes of waste and recyclingmaterials. Arranges furniture for meetings, workshops and communityaffairs Maintains awareness of all safety and quality assurancestandards and procedures Maintains documentation as required Maintainsgood public relations with other departments Operates vehicles anddrives responsibly. Assumes additional responsibilities as needed.Performs related functions as assigned. Havethe ability to attend and complete In-services & Annual Education perState and Federal Regulations. Knowledge of Infection Control, StandardPrecautions, Disinfectants, and HIPPA. Knowledge of safety standards andability to adhere to these standards. Ability to operate, clean, andmaintain housekeeping equipment. Ability to lift and transportmaterials. Ability to safely perform work while on ladders. Ability torecognize safety issues and report them. Ability to communicateeffectively both orally and in writing. Request work orders on allenvironmental surfaces, furniture, and equipment needing repair throughthe computer on the e-mail / link. Ability to understand and follow oraland written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effectiveworking relationships with residents, clients, staff and the public.Ability to work the required hours of the position. Lifting 50 poundsmaximum with the assistance of another person, and frequent liftingand/or carrying of objects weighing up to 35 pounds. Intermittentstanding, walking, sitting and driving. Using hand(s)/feet forrepetitive single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling andoperating controls. Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching andgrappling and occasional climbing. Communicating orally in a clearmanner. Distinguishing sounds at various frequencies and volumes.Distinguishing people or objects at varied distances under a variety oflight conditions.
