Westwood Professional Services, Inc. isseeking a Project Engineer to join our Aviation service team inAppleton, Wisconsin or Madison, Wisconsin. Westwood has a highlyexperienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providinghigh-level professional services to our clients. Our ideal candidatewill have 3+ years of diverse roadway design experience. Candidates musthave a willingness to perform a variety of tasks supporting variousproject types and project managers. This position offers the opportunityto collaborate with an energetic aviation staff on a range of projects,including airport planning, airfield layout and design, safety plans,airfield civil design and construction, facilities design andinfrastructure, and environmental studies. Westwood's Aviation grouphas a diversified range of projects that require preparing a variety ofcivil engineering and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) planningreports, studies, and plans for large, complex projects in a timely andproficient manner to produce solutions that support our clients'success. Requirements Work as a key member of a design team under thedirection of various Project Managers. Job duties may include, but arenot limited to: Work with a team in the preparation of plans,specifications, and cost estimates for projects of various size andcomplexity Prepare plan documents and supporting design calculationsPrepare detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D Producehigh quality work and implement and maintain quality assuranceprocedures Oversee the technical aspects of various projects Coordinatewith other disciplines, support services and subconsultants Coordinatewith government agencies, utility providers or other outside agenciesCoordinate with Clients depending on project role. Identify applicablecodes, standards or other design requirements Prepare technicalspecifications and cost estimates Perform field reviews and otherassessments for use in design Participate in contract bidding, providelimited observation during construction, review submittals and RFIsRepresent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agenciesDevelop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget deliveryMake decisions independently in regard to various issues and methodsPrioritize and manage own workload Mentor, train and/or supervise thework of less experienced engineers and/or technical support personnelEnsures division, regional, and company values, policies and practicesare consistently followed within the survey service Lead by example -display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, andprofessionalism Required Skills Working knowledge of aviation...
