Details + Department: Pharmacy Services + Schedule: Day shift, 35hrs/wk, 7 x 10 hour shifts, starting on Wednesday of the week through Tuesday of the following week. The role would then have 7 days off and then repeat the pattern. Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process._ Responsibilities Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist. Perform activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services. + Perform specialized duties such as hazardous drug compounding, medication history, nuclear, and Patient Assistance Program (PAP) as a pharmacy technician. + Refill and maintain automated dispensing system. Prepare orders, maintains inventory, and repackages bulk medications. Receive and store incoming supplies. + Serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing necessary information. Communicate with external resources such as retail pharmacies, provider officers, and data exchanges. + Identify and assist with patient medication access including, benefit investigation, priorauthorization, and financial assistance. + Assist Pharmacist in preparation of patient education materials. + May give immunizations in accordance with state laws. + May serve as pharmacist extender in situations such as Caregiver Model of the Future responsibilities. + May monitor compliance with regulatory standards and be responsible for inventory and drug shortage management and optimization. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): + Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required. Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained. + One or more of the following: + Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required. Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy ExaminingBoard and once registration is granted, must be maintained. + Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Registration with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board required. Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained. Education: + High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. + Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
