Summary The Manufacturing Engineer supports the Production Department by resolving issues related to components, equipment and processes used in the manufacture of RF coaxial cable assemblies. The Manufacturing Engineer will work in concert with Production and Operations to assure efficient manufacturing of products to meet customer scheduling and quality requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities u2022 Creating/maintaining/reviewing/improving/troubleshooting documentation related to manufacturing and testing of RF coaxial cable assemblies. u2022 Identifying root cause of mechanical and electrical failures on the production floor. u2022 Implementing process improvements to correct manufacturing inefficiencies and failures u2022 Designing/developing tooling and fixtures to support production needs u2022 Providing training/qualification/validation for processes and equipment as required u2022 Ensuring compliance with internal standards, processes, and procedures. Qualifications/Requirements u2022 Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/aerospace engineering u2022 Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment u2022 Experience in the manufacture of raw RF cable or cable assemblies, preferred u2022 Experience with resistance soldering equipment, preferred u2022 Experienced using Lean Principles and tools u2022 Experience using Six Sigma and/or or other problem-solving methodologies u2022 Proficient with Microsoft Office applications u2022 Proficiency with SolidWorks, preferred u2022 Experience reading and understanding drawings and specifications u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills u2022 Excellent time and project management skills u2022 Mechanically inclined, familiar with shop tools and machines Equal Opportunity Employer - Disabled and Veteran Times Microwave Systems is an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V.
