Surgical Oncology Nurse Navigator R40601 Full-TimeSpringfield, MA Req#:R40601 Category(s): Nursing, Care and Case Managers Full Time / PartTime: Full-Time Shift: First Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum $96,137.00 -$110,510.00 - $130,728.00 A Surgical Oncology Nurse Navigator is aprofessional registered nurse with oncology and surgery specificclinical knowledge who offers individualized assistance to patients,families and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers.Utilizing the nursing process, an oncology nurse navigator provideseducation and resources to facilitate informed decision making andtimely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout allphases of the cancer continuum. Ensures patients are scheduled in atimely manner and all appropriate documentation is available to developa surgical plan: Perform education including shared decision making andassess patients for referral to supportive and other resources. Acts asthe clinical contact person in resolving patient and family relatedissues as well as provide education to patient/families by identifyingtheir specific needs and treatment options, and is able to direct themto multiple sources of information Requirements : Current MA NursingLicense and BLS CPR Bachelor's Degree in Nursing 5 years nursingexperience in surgical, OR, PACU, Surgical Oncology experience stronglypreferred Must obtain specialty certification within two years Strongcritical thinking, time management, collaboration and communicationskills are essential Must have the ability to be self-directed, workindependently and as well in team environment.
