Regardless of role or responsibility, everyteam member is a valuable part of living our mission and upholding ourpositive work environment with our Standards of Culture.We exist to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in ourcommunity.Summary:The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinationsand provides high-quality sonographic images and data for interpretationby a physician. In collaboration with the Lab and Radiology Manager, theUltrasound Technologist ensures compliance with all federal grants,OSHA, HIPAA and Hunter Health Clinic policies and procedures.Essential Functions:- Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations for patients including OB/GYN, abdominal, and other necessary studies, following established protocols.- Positions patients properly to capture correct areas and corrects positioning, as needed.- Reviews images for technical quality, ensuring that appropriate anatomical, pathological and clinical conditions are accurately captured during the examination.- Maintains accurate patient records and documents any incidental findings that might impact patient safety or patient care, providing that information to the appropriate provider.- Ensures ultrasound equipment remains in working order by reporting concerns or issues.- Assists with maintaining inventory and the ordering of supplies for the department.- Implements and maintains new testing procedures as instructed.- Schedules exams for patients, as needed.- Travels when necessary to meet operational needs.- Performs all other duties as assigned.Skills:- Listens, identifies, and responds quickly and effectively to internal and external needs.- Communicates effectively with all patients.- Displays organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and uses time and resources effectively.- Displays good judgment and decision-making skills.- Effectively collaborates and seeks clarification and confirms accuracy as needed.- Utilizes teamwork to achieve desired results and contributes to projects while developing positive working relationships.- Pursues goals with commitment and shows initiative.- Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability; manages time and priorities; develops and follows work procedures.- Evaluates own performance and accepts constructive feedback to continue learning.- Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges.Physical and Mental Demands of the Job:All employees, including those who become disabled, must be able toperform the essential job function listed below, either unaided or withthe assistance of a reasonable accommodation.
