Students here have access to room and board while they learn skills in specific training areas for up to three years. The program helps them to complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, provides transitional support services, and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps graduates either enter the workforce or an apprenticeship, go on to higher education, or join the military.SummaryReports to the Social Development Director. Responsible for the development, management, and operation of standards and work support, which includes behavioral management, behavior review panel, fact-finding boards, peer discipline, student incentives program, and student legal services, in compliance with government and management directives.Essential Functions1. Plans, coordinates, and supervises the programmatic activities of student personnel.2. Leads the SPO department in overseeing student conduct, behavior, discipline, and incentives;provides supervision, training, and guidance to SPO personnel.3. Resolves complaints of alleged violations of center standards by students. Oversees reviewboards, conduct meetings, fact-finding boards, and hearings while adhering to requirements ofdue process and complying with the PRH.4. Determines and administers disciplinary action for students.5. Reports all serious/critical incidents in accordance with established guidelines and requirements;prepares significant incident reports for the CD.6. Provides feedback to staff on results of disciplinary actions administered to students.7. Conducts orientation and training on disciplinary system for staff and students. Reinforces theimportance of behavior management and Career Success Standards (CSS) by conducting oneon-one interviews with new enrollees and discussing any concerns.8. Administers the incentives program to recognize and reward positive behavior or gains in careerpathways, in compliance with the PRH.9. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of peer leadership programs, collaborating with otherdepartments when necessary. Inspires students to become peer leaders who are activelyinvolved in the operation and standards of the center.10. Collaborates with the safety and security teams to uphold and monitor standards of conduct andcenter safety. Also collaborates with staff from residential living, health and wellness, counseling,risk management, recreation, and other departments.11. Confers with parents and center personnel and counsels students concerning problems relatingto student actions on and off center.12. Maintains accurate case notes in the Center Information System (CIS) for each student served.13.
