Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced and dynamic Chief Engineer to join the Theater High Altitude Air Defense (THAAD) program in either Huntsville, AL or Sunnyvale, CA. As the Chief Engineer Sr MGR for THAAD, you will: u2022 Support all phases of the program lifecycle (development, production, and post production). u2022 Provide technical direction to engineers in all disciplines across the weapon system. u2022 Have the ability to develop tech maturation plans, as required, for product evolution u2022 Develop action plans, as required, to brief internal executive leadership, as well as, external customers. u2022 Working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and must have the ability to successfully execute across a variety of contracts and execute across a variety of efforts simultaneously. u2022 Perform as a L-coded leader for a portion of the THAAD CE staff ensuring appropriate goals are established and completed, training curriculum is sufficient and completed, and providing feedback for yearly performance reviews. u2022 The successful candidate must also have ability to organize, motivate and lead groups of engineering personnel, and demonstrate in-depth technical skills. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelors degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline u2022 Demonstrated experience as a technical leader, coordinating across multiple teams u2022 Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully both written and verbally across all levels of an organization from entry level to executive Vice Presidents u2022 Significant experience in Aerospace and/or Defense Industry u2022 Detailed knowledge of engineering and program planning throughout development, design, test, and integration phases u2022 Active Secret Clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Experience with troubleshooting test failures u2022 Experience and Familiarity/exposure with a variety of engineering disciplines (software; systems, mech, electrical engineering) u2022 Prior experience with the THAAD program or similar BMDS u2022 Prior experience as a Chief Engineer u2022 Strong Mentoring skills as evidenced through active mentoring relationships u2022 Proven experience as a conceptual thinker with the ability to translate into action and results. u2022 Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and build effective relationships u2022 Strong mission and end-to-end systems expertise u2022 Demonstrated experience with development and delivery of space sub-systems and components Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $164,300 - $289,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $189,000 - $327,635.
