Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a THAAD Development Associate Program Manager, reporting up through the THAAD Development Program Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL. THAAD Development falls under the Upper Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense (UTIAMD) THAAD Development Program Area, which is responsible for the execution of THAAD Weapon System and Component design, development, integration and test. The development efforts include, but are not limited to, development of future Weapon System capabilities, incremental product changes, hardware redesigns and changes due to obsolescence, increased performance capability, cost reduction initiatives, technology insertion, and changes in response to an expanded target space. This program leader will be responsible for managing the execution of THAAD Development projects, more than $20M. This position requires frequent and effective communications with global supply chain teams, external suppliers, finance, planning, contracts, quality, engineering and other stakeholders as necessary to meet objectives. This position requires development of professional relationships across multiple Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customers, Lockheed Martin executive leadership, and multiple LM business areas. Communication with Lockheed Martin and MDA leadership is required on a regular basis to provide cost, schedule, technical and risk status with concise and current briefing material. This position will also review and approve project plans, estimates, proposals, business plans, supplier task statements and specifications. The THAAD Development team is based in Huntsville, AL, Sunnyvale, CA and Arlington, TX areas. Candidates would need to be able to travel to other sites and / or supplier sites. Travel expected to be less than 25%. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Development experience with flight and ground hardware and/or associated technologies u2022 Demonstrated program or project management experience u2022 Experience working with supply chain management u2022 Earned Value Management (EVM) experience u2022 Risk and Opportunity Management experience u2022 Some travel to supplier sites u2022 Must be eligible for DOD Secret Clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Experience / knowledge of the THAAD Weapon system u2022 Experience working with a defense industry customer organization u2022 Experience in multiple phases of the Development lifecycle (requirements development, design, flight test, qualification, verification, product delivery) u2022 Demonstrated ability to formulate & execute corrective actions and recovery plans u2022 Experience with proposal development and prime/supplier negotiations u2022 Strong communication skills Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
