Accounting Specialist

Description Robert Half Contract Finance & Accounting is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our client in the Property Management industry on a contract basis in Reno, Nevada. This role requires expertise in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and supporting essential accounting operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process accounts payable (AP) transactions, including verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments. u2022 Manage accounts receivable (AR) by tracking incoming payments and resolving discrepancies. u2022 Handle billing functions, ensuring accurate and efficient invoicing for clients or customers. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records and identify any inconsistencies. u2022 Support general accounting functions, including maintaining financial reports and ledgers. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and improve accounting processes. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations. u2022 Assist in preparing financial statements and reports as needed. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. u2022 Familiarity with billing procedures and financial reconciliation. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and tools. u2022 Excellent analytical and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. u2022 Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
