Job Title: Quality Control Inspector Job Description Seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality Team in implementing quality control programmatic requirements for nuclear, DoE, DoD, and AS9100/ISO9001 projects. This role reports to the Quality Control Supervisor. Responsibilities + Perform dimensional inspections (first article, in-process, and final) using conventional precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and digital height gauges. + Program and operate Zeiss CMM with Calypso software, as well as Keyence Optical CMM and/or Faro arm. + Conduct receipt inspection of materials, parts, and consumables while maintaining QA-controlled inventory. + Perform XRF (X-Ray Fluorescent) and hardness testing of materials, with training provided if no previous experience. + Ensure quality requirements are maintained to meet MM QA Program and Customer requirements. + Verify all inspection activities are performed according to Customer requirements, procedures, and purchase order/contract agreements. + Perform assigned QC witness/hold points as identified in work travelers, which may require traveling to Customer/Supplier facilities. + Interface with Customers and Production personnel. + Temporarily assigned to other activities/duties as needed to support the business. Essential Skills + Thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). + A minimum of 2 yearsu2019 experience in quality control inspection activities utilizing Faro Arm CMM and/or Keyence Optical CMM. + Completed Zeiss Metrology, Keyence Optical CMM, and/or Faro Arm Training Classes desired. + A minimum of 2 yearsu2019 experience in quality control inspection activities in a mechanical or electrical discipline. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate quality and technical requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Machinist/Fabricator experience is a plus. + Nuclear commercial grade dedication experience is a plus. + Experience in aerospace AS9001 is beneficial. Work Environment Work in a machine shop with a schedule of 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, which may transition to four 10-hour shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
