Project Engineer Roundabouts

Westwood Professional Services,Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Engineerspecializing in roundabouts and roadway design. The ideal candidate willhave in-depth knowledge of the planning, design, and construction ofroundabouts, with a strong understanding of traffic flow management,safety considerations, and environmental factors. Our ideal candidatewill have 8+ years of diverse roadway design experience. Candidates musthave a willingness to perform a variety of tasks supporting variousproject types and project managers. Requirements Lead the design ofroundabouts, intersections, and roadways for various transportationprojects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and national standards(such as WisDOT, AASHTO, and MUTCD) Manage all phases of roadway designand roundabout projects, including planning and design. Work with a teamin the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates forprojects of various size and complexity Prepare plan documents andsupporting design calculations Prepare detailed construction drawingsusing AutoCAD Civil 3D Produce high-quality work and implement andmaintain quality assurance procedures Oversee the technical aspects ofvarious projects Coordinate with other disciplines, support services andsubconsultants Coordinate with government agencies, utility providers orother outside agencies Coordinate with Clients depending on projectrole. Identify applicable codes, standards or other design requirementsPrepare technical specifications and cost estimates Perform fieldreviews and other assessments for use in design Participate in contractbidding, provide limited observation during construction, reviewsubmittals and RFIs Represent clients and firm in meetings withgovernmental agencies Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time andon-budget delivery Make decisions independently in regard to variousissues and methods Prioritize and manage own workload Mentor, trainand/or supervise the work of less experienced engineers and/or technicalsupport personnel Ensures division, regional, and company values,policies and practices are consistently followed within the surveyservice Lead by example - display solid judgment, good values, trust,honesty, openness, and professionalism Required Skills: Outgoing,friendly, approachable Excellent verbal, written and interpersonalskills Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet projectdeadlines Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positivework environment Ability to work independently and as part of a teamProficient in Autodesk Civil3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Officeapplications Proficient...
