A Graduate Engineer is expected to work on a team providingsupport to a licensed Civil Engineer while learning the company'sstandard practices and local agency codes. As part of our PublicInfrastructure team, you will be dedicated to becoming proficient inDesign Software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, etc.),performing technical calculations, preparing plans and specifications,and assisting with other project management and engineering tasks. Inpursuit of a Professional Engineering license, the applicant needs to beorganized, self-motivated, and possess the ability to collaborativelysolve complex issues on time and within budget. Expected start date:May/June 2026 Requirements Assist the project team in the design ofpublic infrastructure work Assist the project team in preparingconstruction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utilityevaluations Prepare various exhibits and design drawings using AutoCADCivil3D, OpenRoads, or MicroStation Coordination with agency staff andinternal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues UtilizingMicrosoft Office Suite to develop calculations in Excel, reports andletters in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint Assist withconstruction drawings using design software, including grading plans,plan and profiles, construction details, etc. Required Skills Outgoing,friendly, approachable (team player) Strong communication skills withteam members and clients, demonstrates active listening techniquesProficient in computer software (Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, MicrosoftProject) Competent technical skills required to complete engineeringtasks Able to proactively pursue design solutions Ability to be open toother's ideas and willing to compromise Detail-oriented but alsoflexible enough to be big picture/conceptual Able to compromise andaccept other's ideas Good reputation amongst peers, clients, andagencies Able to follow general directions and guidelines for thefirm's policies, practices, and procedures A supportive team memberwith the ability to work both independently and within a collaborativeenvironment Required Experience Bachelor's Degree in Civil orEnvironmental Engineering, or the ability to obtain within 6-12 monthsEngineer-in-Training Certificate, or the ability to obtain within 6-12months Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D, OpenRoads, or MicroStationsoftware About Westwood Professional Services, Inc....
