Hours: Full-Time With Benefits- Approximately 32-40 hours per weekLocation: On-site (Garden Center and Office)Job SummaryThe Customer Service Representative (CSR) / Garden Center Associate, our first impressionist, plays a key role in supporting both the landscape services division and the retail garden center. This position is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining accurate customer records, coordinating communication with clients regarding landscape work, and assisting with garden center operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable in plant care, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service and CommunicationAnswer incoming phone calls and emails in a professional and friendly mannerContact customers to notify them of scheduled landscape work, updates, and completion statusProvide accurate information to customers regarding plants, products, and servicesMaintain a positive customer experience both in person and over the phoneCRM and Administrative DutiesMaintain and update CRM software daily with accurate customer information, notes, and job statusesTrack customer communications, work schedules, and follow-upsPerform general office and administrative support tasks as neededGarden Center Sales and Plant CareAssist customers with plant selection, including annuals and perennials, and provide plant care recommendationsMaintain knowledge of plant varieties, seasonal availability, and care requirementsPerform seasonal plant-related duties including watering, deadheading, spacing, labeling, and general plant maintenanceAssist with receiving, stocking, and displaying plants and garden merchandiseProcess sales transactions accurately and efficientlyMaintain cleanliness and organization of the garden center retail spaceMarketing and PromotionsDesign and update sales flyers, signage, and basic promotional materialsAssist with seasonal promotions and merchandising displaysVendor and Team CoordinationWork with local vendors regarding plant availability, orders, and deliveriesCommunicate with landscape crews, management, and sales staff to ensure smooth daily operationsQualifications and RequirementsKnowledgeable in plants, including annuals and perennials, with the ability to advise customers confidentlyWillingness to take on seasonal plant-related responsibilities as business needs changeValid drivers license with an insurable driving recordFriendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skillsProficient in Google Docs and Google SheetsComfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and coldAbility to walk, stand, crouch, and remain on feet for extended periodsAbility to perform strenuous physical tasks and lift/carry up to 30-40 lbsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask and work independentlyPrevious customer service, retail, or garden center experience preferredSchedule and AvailabilityApproximately 32 - 40 hours per weekWeekend availability requiredSpring and Summer: Must be available to work at least one weekend dayFall and Winter: Closed SundaysBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance available after the probationary periodPaid time offRetirement plansOpportunities for professional development and continuing education
