Production Associate

Job Title: Material Handler Pay: $18 - $19 an hour Shift: 1st & 2nd shift Job Description We are seeking candidates for the position of Material Handler in a plastic pipe extrusion company. The role involves removing pipes from the extrusion machine and stacking them onto racks. Once the rack is full, you will band up the pipe to prepare it for transport by forklift to the scales for weighing. This position offers the opportunity to become forklift certified and to perform visual checks of pipes, loading defective ones onto scrap pallets. Successful performance in this role could lead to a promotion to an extrusion operator position, which offers higher pay. Responsibilities + Remove pipes from the extrusion machine and stack them onto racks. + Band up pipes on full racks for transport by forklift. + Perform visual inspections of pipes and load defective ones onto scrap pallets. + Prepare pipes for weighing by forklifts. Essential Skills + General labor and material handling experience. + Willingness to become certified in forklift operation. + Experience with extrusion processes is a plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Entry-level candidates or those with no experience are welcome. + Material Handler 2 requires 2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution. + Material Handler 3 requires experience in an extrusion or injection mold environment.
