Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will work to design, analyze, build, test, integrate, deliver, and operate fluids and propulsion subsystems on Lunar landers.Special Mentions:Relocation providedOccasional travel up to 15% of the time1st Shift: 8am - 5pmInterviews will include a technical assessmentResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Define Fluids component requirements that meet system needs, negotiate interfaces, evaluate potential in house and vendor designs, conduct 1st order analysesGenerate and present component details in vehicle design reviews and integration forums, field questions related to your componentsGenerate and release engineering drawingsWork with supplier team to identify and procure materials and componentsWork with supplier team to finalize design, build, test, and deliver components to the vehicleGenerate test and analysis reports, provide complete component verification productsQualifications:B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field2+ years of experience in aerospace propulsion and fluid analysis and piping design including process component selection and process fluid design architectureFamiliarity with propulsion and fluid system components (i.e. valves, regulators and pumps for cryogenics, propellants, and other fluids)Ability to interpret and generate Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Ability to create fabrication and installation drawings with ProEngineer/CreoDesired:Cryogenic fluids knowledgeExperience performing the structural and fluid design and analysis of piping and tubing systems; and using analysis tools such as ANSYS, Thermal Desktop.Experience with ProEngineer/Creo, Windchill, and ProPipingKnowledge of standard installation and fabrication methods of piping systems (tube stock, fittings, connections, fasteners, welding, etc.)Advanced Engineering degreeExperience with static and non-linear FEA analysis (ANSYS)Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and toleranceCompensation Range for:CO applicants is $90,934.00 - $127,307.25WA applicants is $99,201.00 - $138,880.35Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
