DescriptionWe are seeking a leader to join Amazon's Global Road Safety team to drive implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) components across Amazon's transportation operations. In this role, you will shape transportation safety strategy, build sustainable safety management capabilities, and drive measurable improvements across Amazon's on-the-road transportation network, protecting the lives of people on road everywhere. Key job responsibilities This role focuses on engaging leaders at multiple levels and across organizations to accelerate safety risk decision-making and foster a proactive safety culture. You will establish and manage the governance structure that supports the SMS, including committees and working groups that enable effective decision-making. You will create, optimize, and drive adoption of mechanisms to ensure long-term SMS success. Additionally, you will translate SMS principles into language that resonates with diverse audiences and build coalitions to implement safety management best practices. Success in this role requires building trust and communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver sustainable, broad-scope results. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
