We are currently seeling an experienced, service-oriented Host(ess)/Bartener to support our Independent Living community, serving beer and wine in a warm, welcoming environment for our residents and their guests.Essential ResponsibilitiesWelcome and engage residents and guests in a friendly and professional manner.Provide exceptional hospitality and foster a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.Serve beer and win in accorance with community standards and applicable laws.Host and manage the flow of the dining/bar area, including seating and waitlist management.Use OpenTable for reservations and table management.Operate a Point of Sales (POS) system to process orders, payments and maintain accurate tabs.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, glassware, equipment, etc.Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations.Collaborate with dining and culinary teams to support events, happy hours and special functions.Model Kisco’s Principles, Values, and Beliefs (PVBs) in all interactions with residents, families, and team members.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Previous experience (minimum 2 years) as a bartender host/hostess, preferably in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality setting.Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with older adults.Professional appearance and positive attitude.Proficiency using OpenTable (or similar reservation system).Experience with POS system.Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Must meet local age and licensing requirements for serving alcohol.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesCustomer-focused and service-oriented.Strong organizational and time management skills.Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain composure under pressure.Working ConditionsWork is primarily performed in the community’s bar and dining areas within a senior living environment.Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Moderate exposure to typical dining and bar environment noise (music, conversation, kitchen equipment).What’s in it for me?
