NaphCare is hiring a MATNurse Practitioner to join team of medical professionals in the Clark County Detention Centerin Las Vegas, NV.Pay rates range from $63.00- $66.50 per hour based on type of license, certification, site needs, licensure, and experience.As a MATNurse Practitioner, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide support to the patients within the facility struggling with substance abuse. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex needs.TheMATNurse Practitionerplays a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality care that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:Provide comprehensive Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services for incarcerated individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), with a primary focus on buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone).Conduct initial and ongoing clinical assessments for OUD, including substance use history, withdrawal evaluation, psychiatric and medical comorbidities, and readiness for treatment.Initiate, continue, adjust, and monitor Suboxone therapy in accordance with evidence-based guidelines, DEA regulations, and correctional health policies.Manage induction, stabilization, maintenance, and tapering phases of MAT as clinically indicated.Collaborate closely with correctional healthcare staff, custody staff, mental health providers, and substance use counselors to ensure coordinated, safe, and effective care.Monitor patient adherence, response to treatment, and potential diversion risks within a correctional setting.Provide patient education on OUD, MAT, relapse prevention, overdose risk, and continuity of care upon release.Participate collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans that address medical, behavioral health, and social determinants of health.Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record, including MAT-specific reporting and regulatory requirements.Participate in discharge planning and continuity-of-care coordination, including referrals to community-based MAT providers upon release.Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations related to controlled substances, MAT delivery, and correctional healthcare standards.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and program development related to OUD and MAT services.Stay current with evolving best practices, clinical guidelines, and regulatory changes related to OUD treatment and MAT.Education /Experience /RequirementsAdvanced nursing education (Master's or Doctorate)MAT/OUD treatment experience requiredCARN-AP preferredCurrent licensure as a Nurse PractitionerMust hold a current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner inNV.Current DEA registrationAn appropriate collaborative agreement with the on-site PhysicianMust possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred)Be certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical SpecialtiesKnowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services.Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAble to work independently and in a teamExperience working in a correctional facility or acute care center is a plusIntegrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirementsMust pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screeningWorking Conditions:Must have the physical and mental capacity to work in an environment that may be less than pristine, as well as manage and maintain physical and mental health when encountering stressful situations.Why Join NaphCare?NaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US and we are growing.
