Sr. Accountant/Asst Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Bonita Springs, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounting and financial management. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. u2022 Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards. u2022 Prepare and review journal entries, verifying proper documentation and adherence to policies. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. u2022 Handle bank reconciliations, ensuring alignment between financial records and bank statements. u2022 Assist with financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making processes. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. u2022 Provide guidance and support to accounting staff who are early in their careers as needed. u2022 Participate in audits and assist with the preparation of audit documentation. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger maintenance. u2022 Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation processes. u2022 Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting. u2022 Familiarity with accounting principles and regulatory compliance requirements. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
