Tissue Technician

Description Tissue Processing Tech openings on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. The Tissue Tech 1 position at RTI represents an entry level function. Employees will develop technical skills in their assigned areas, an understanding of the rules and regulations that RTI administers, and the basic operating approach at RTI including: reading, understanding, and following work instructions; working in a team environment; and learning to work with minimal supervision. u2022 Performs tissue processing activities that produce the highest level of quality and yield outcomes in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). u2022 Responsible for accurately processing tissue products and meeting production schedules. u2022 Works safely, dons appropriate clean room lab attire, and applies excellent aseptic techniques in a clean room / controlled environment performing individual tasks or contributing to a team effort. u2022 Understands requirements to properly dispose waste. u2022 Accurately completes paperwork and performs data entry in accordance with Good Documentation Practices. u2022 Stores and moves tissue in appropriate locations to ensure accurate inventories of tissue in-process u2022 Performs cycle count activities in accordance with SOPu2019s. u2022 Assists in the review and update of SOPu2019s, work instructions and procedures u2022 Technical expert of tissue processing in learned competencies and advisor for colleagues and engineers in areas of tissue processing techniques and improvement opportunities u2022 Performs duties to support key annual performance metrics for operations u2022 Participate in continuous improvement activities in team meetings and other formal and informal settings. SHIFTS = 4 x 10hr shifts per week and 1 Saturday per month MUST be open to ALL shifts All Tissue Techs will work 4 10hr shifts per week and all are required to work every Tuesday & Wednesday, and any 2 of the other days during week (which day they get off will vary week by week) Off Sundays Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alachua, FL.
