Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Bristol, Indiana. This is a Contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations and processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and expertise in accounting practices, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial statements. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to verify balances and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Manage month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. u2022 Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to streamline transactions. u2022 Maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper classification of accounts and transactions. u2022 Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and financial institutions. u2022 Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze and organize financial data effectively. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. u2022 Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented environment. u2022 Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. u2022 Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. u2022 Hands-on experience with general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and spreadsheet management. u2022 Familiarity with bank reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
