Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process._ Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. + Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. + Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. + Contribute to Mission effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission Statement: + Service to the poor - Support the cause of those who lack resources for a reasonable quality of life. + Reverence - Respect and compassion for the dignity and diversity of life. + Integrity - Inspiring trust through personal leadership. + Wisdom - Integrating excellence and stewardship. + Creativity - Courageous Innovation. + Dedication - Affirming hope and joy in our ministry. + Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with patient, family, and members of the healthcare team. + Assess the physical and psychological status of patients, provide interventions/treatments and evaluate effectiveness of care to achieve desired patient outcomes. + Evaluate learning needs of patient and family and provide age-specific and culturally appropriate education. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. + Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. + Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition
