Summary: Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates the most some of the most efficient data centers in the world. Developing, operating, and managing the data center infrastructure and facilities the u201crightu201d way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, flexibility and capital and operational cost efficiency in a safe working environment. Meta evaluates sites around the world for data center development and is seeking a water analyst to support water and wastewater cross-functional project efforts for our large and growing Data Center portfolio. This position will report directly to the Water Team Lead within the broader Global Development team and will work cross-functionally with other Data Center teams. Travel will be required to visit our data center sites and attend organization-level stakeholder meetings. Required Skills: Water Analyst Responsibilities: 1. Design and implement strategy to build real-time dashboards and databases for tracking, analyzing and reporting water usage 2. Evaluate and ensure data integrity and identify process improvements within the water analytics program 3. Organize, review and evaluate water and wastewater monitoring data to compare against agreements or permits, identify anomalies, and establish risk mitigation strategies 4. Support the development of water projection modeling and decision making tools 5. Prepare research reports related to regulations, initiatives affecting water or wastewater management, and industrial water usage trends 6. Support annual water data inventory for global reporting 7. Support financial tracking for Metau2019s water program for both CapEx and OpEx related infrastructure expenses 8. Manage water and wastewater data for reporting including: voluntary reporting, mandated regulatory compliance and reporting, and water efficiency optimization 9. Monitor and support long term flow meter asset management including metadata mapping, commissioning and performance validation to ensure data accuracy, and quarterly data trending analysis 10. Monitor and support construction water best management practices tracking actual usage and projection accuracy 11. Develop and track global portfolio metrics to establish Key Performance Indicators for water program 12. Track progress against targets and benchmark performance against internal Key Performance Indicators 13. Support risk analysis for data center lifecycle, supporting standardizing a water risk data collection framework Monitor state and local policies that could impact Metau2019s water program Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 14. BS degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering 15. 4+ years professional experience in water engineering, water resources management, hydrogeology, or water and wastewater infrastructure projects 16. Technical expertise related to water management 17. Experience building and maintaining cross-functional relationships enabling clear information flow across wide-ranging teams 18. Experience working with highly confidential information 19. Proficient in database management using SQL, with experience in designing, implementing, and querying databases for data analysis and reporting 20. Demonstrated experience in data management and analytical skills, with expertise in statistical analysis, and attention to detail 21. Experience designing, building and maintaining dashboards within GIS, Tableau, and/or other data visualization software 22. Experience collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and program managers building productive cross-functional and working relationships 23. Experience presenting data and analytics insights to technical and non-technical audiences Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: 24. Previous experience with data center water or sustainability analytics 25. Experience in project management 26. Advanced data skills such as extract, transform, and load (ETL) 27. Experience working with external reporting standards such as CDP, EED, GRI, TCFD, SASB, etc 28.
