You will find a fulfilling career at MSM Posting Number ACAD516 Job Title Pediatric Hospitalist Position Title Assistant Professor Position Type Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary 136000 Department Pediatrics Position Summary The Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics invites applications for a part time (.7 FTE ) Assistant/Associate Professor as a Pediatric Hospital Medicine physician. This is a multi-year appointment with a 12-month service period position (July 1-June 30) with an anticipated start date of Spring 2026. This position will build a career at Morehouse School of Medicine that can impact infants, children, and adolescent health as you work with these groups, families, health care systems, and communities to improve well-being and advance health equity. This position is composed of clinical service and bedside teaching duties. This faculty member will lead resident and medical student learners on the inpatient team. The .7 FTE will consist of primary and back up scheduled shifts. Each shift is 24 hours long. The faculty member will be present on the inpatient service during the day and take any needed calls from the senior residents overnight. All Morehouse School of Medicine faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate will have earned a doctorate degree (MD/DO or foreign equivalent), be board certified in General Pediatrics with documented expertise in health services provision, health policy, epidemiology, psychology, child development, sociology, or other relevant fields. Candidates are also expected to have expertise in the Social Determinants of Health and how to integrate this knowledge into the day-to-day care of patients and families.
