This position is responsible for developing, writing, and coordinating high-quality proposals, grant applications, and related materials that align with the organizationu2019s mission and funding priorities. This position also supports marketing and communications activities to enhance visibility, promote programs, and ensure consistent messaging across audiences. Essential Functions: Proposal & Grant Development: + Research, identify, and track state, federal, and private funding or procurement opportunities. + Write clear, compelling proposals, grant applications, letters of intent, concept papers, and supporting materials. + Develop and maintain standard organizational language (e.g., background summaries, impact descriptions, project narratives). + Collaborate with project, finance, and leadership teams to gather data, budget details, and performance metrics needed for submissions. + Manage proposal timelines, submission schedules, required documents, and post-submission follow-up. + Ensure compliance with all grant, contract, or procurement requirements and submission guidelines. + Maintain a tracking system for proposals, active grants, reporting deadlines, deliverables, and statuses. + It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management. Marketing & Communications Support: + Assist in creating content for newsletters, website updates, social media, and informational materials. + Support the development of case studies, program highlights, staff spotlights, and other storytelling assets. + Ensure alignment and consistency between proposal materials and public-facing communications. + Contribute to marketing campaigns, internal communication efforts, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. + Assist in organizing and promoting events, webinars, presentations, or outreach activities. + Support conference marketing efforts. + Conduct regular updates on website. Administrative & Collaborative Responsibilities + Maintain a centralized proposal library and content management system. + Track metrics related to proposals, grants, marketing reach, and content engagement. + Participate in strategy meetings to align messaging, opportunities, and organizational priorities. + Support cross-functional projects and administrative tasks as needed. + Maintain a CRM tool and tracking system for client and partner engagement/outreach. + Contribute to our company Culture of Caring by maintaining positive and respectful relationships with employees, customers, vendors, program recipients and our community. Education and Experience Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Masteru2019s preferred). + Minimum 7 years of experience in proposal writing, grant development, government contracting, procurement, and communications. + Proven ability to write persuasive, well-organized proposals or technical narratives. + Background in public safety or criminal justice is a plus. + Understanding of state and federal procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, scoring criteria, and compliance requirements. + Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics. + Experience creating content for digital platforms (website, social media, newsletters). + Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. + Familiarity with CRM, document tracking, or grant management systems is a plus.
