The total qualifying requirement is four (4) years. This is not a Civil Service Examination.u00a0u00a0POSITION DUTIESu00a0- Builds, constructs, installs metal studs, drywall and suspended ceilings, repairs and remodels structures and builds cabinets and other objects by cutting, shaping and joining wood, plastic, metal or other structural materials.- Repairs and replaces any object made from wood and/or metal such as floors, stairs, doors, furniture, window frames, etc.; builds wooden forms for concrete and/or cement.- Erects scaffolds, concession stands, cages, barricades and similar structures as requested or required.- Repairs and installs all types of door hardware.- Sands and restores wood floors.- May direct the work of assigned lower-level personnel on the same job as assigned.- May drive City a vehicle.- May use a variety of technological hardware (i.e., computers, laptops, tablets, smart phones, GPS, cameras, etc.) and/or software (i.e., email, Cartegraph, Microsoft Office, etc.) to maintain records and prepare accurate reports on work performed.- Performs such other related tasks and duties that are assigned or required.
