Job Title: Commissioning Foreman/Engineer Location: San Antonio, TX Pay: $40-45/hr Project Duration: 3/1-6/1 MUST have valid passport and ability to train for 1 week in Canada Must have OSHA 30 MUST be able to pass drug test and background check Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commissioning Foreman to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. The role involves working with a variety of equipment and tools, including motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in troubleshooting malfunctions and complying with NEC standards on wiring and installations. Responsibilities + Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. + Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. + Troubleshoot malfunctions and comply with NEC standards on wiring and installations. + Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring tools. + Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with measuring instruments. + Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipment. + Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. + Optimize maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently. + Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting actions and communicating irregularities. + Manage communication plan protocols and reporting procedures, including daily and weekly communication, emails, and virtual meetings. + Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. + Adhere to commissioning plan and manage schedule of commissioning activities integrated with the project schedule. + Verify proper installation of equipment and components. + Confirm compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. + Conduct equipment startup checklists and verify proper startup procedures are followed. + Document initial operating parameters and identify any startup issues. + Manage issue logs, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. + Verify implemented solutions and conduct final system verification and documentation. Essential Skills + Mechanical and electrical skills. + Troubleshooting, repair, and service expertise. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Proficient with hand tools and HVAC systems. + Experience in field service, construction, preventive maintenance, and installation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certificate or diploma in a related field. + Completion of an industrial apprenticeship program is a plus. + Experience with industrial and mechanical systems required, cooling systems preferred. + Construction site experience required, data center familiarity preferred. + Thorough knowledge of industrial and mechanical equipment and safety procedures. + Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented individual. + Problem-solving skills using standard tools and techniques. + Positive 'can-do' attitude. + Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently. + Leadership experience managing a team of 3+. + Excellent communication skills, electronic/virtual, written, and in person. + OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
