Responsibilities:- Manage the daily operations of the National Security Policy team, including workflow, priorities, and deliverables, and provide visibility to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders- Run team rhythms (including standups, planning sessions, and check-ins) and keep work on track- Surface blockers early and drive resolution- Own hiring, onboarding, performance conversations, and career development- Maintain pulse on team healthgather feedback, flag concerns, and foster strong team culture and collaboration- Act as proxy for the Head of National Security Policy in internal meetings and decision-making processes when needed- Represent the team's needs, perspectives, and priorities to cross-functional partnersDrafting, prioritization, and strategic execution- Draft key internal and external documents, briefings, and communications on behalf of the Head of National Security Policy- Translate strategic direction into clear priorities, workplans, and deliverables- Ensure the team's work aligns with broader company and policy goalsCross-functional alignment- Build and maintain strong working relationships across Policy, Legal, Comms, Security, and other functions- Ensure National Security Policy priorities are well-understood across the organization and cross-functional dependencies are managed proactively- Serve as a connective thread between National Security Policy and the broader Policy teamPolicy leadership- Participate in Policy leadership forums and contribute to function-wide strategy and planning- Keep a pulse on the businessunderstand company priorities and ensure National Security Policy work connects to them- Shape long-term strategic planning, including having a strong intuition for emerging internal and external policy issues and developing proactive strategies around themYou may be a good fit if you:- Have deep knowledge of national security matters, government, AI policy, or related fields- Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams- Strong operational instinctsable to build systems, keep complex work organized, and deliver results- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build alignment across diverse stakeholders- Excellent judgment and discretion in sensitive contexts- Clear, concise communicator with experience drafting for senior leaders (especially writtendrafting is core to this role)- Collaborative and low-ego; builds trust quickly- Effective problem solverThe annual compensation range for this role is listed below.For sales roles, the range provided is the roles On Target Earnings (
