Cash Application Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves managing accounts receivable payments, ensuring accuracy in financial postings, and resolving discrepancies to maintain smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a customer-focused approach to support both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: u2022 Accurately post daily accounts receivable payments received via the bank. u2022 Prepare and process lockbox deposits for checks received on-site. u2022 Handle and record daily credit card payment requests. u2022 Communicate with internal teams and external customers to address payment issues, including incorrect currencies, discounts, or credits. u2022 Perform weekly and month-end reconciliations of accounts receivable balances against general and sub-ledgers. u2022 Apply adjustments, write-offs, and credit memos to customer accounts as needed. u2022 Coordinate requests for accounts payable checks related to overpayments and miscellaneous items. u2022 Provide attentive and high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. u2022 Execute miscellaneous tasks as assigned by accounts receivable management. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in cash applications or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in SAP is required. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly intermediate Excel skills. u2022 Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions. u2022 Ability to effectively resolve payment discrepancies and communicate solutions. u2022 Excellent organizational and time-management skills. u2022 Customer service experience, demonstrating a detail-oriented and collaborative approach. u2022 Strong analytical abilities for reconciling accounts and managing financial data.
