Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Air and Marine Operations, Jacksonville Air and Marine Branch, Jacksonville, FL. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Responsibilities Join Air and Marine Operations for an exciting opportunity assisting those who protect our nation by anticipating and confronting security threats through our aviation and maritime law enforcement expertise, innovative capabilities, and partnerships at the border and beyond. This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10). Typical duties include: Supervising a team responsible for administrative functions at the branch and marine units to include budget, human resources, facilities, property/fleet management, travel, and other areas pertaining to Mission Support. Contributing to short and long-term planning through in-depth research and analysis regarding staffing levels and spending plans. Advising management on administrative programs, systems, and methods and identifying improvements for effectiveness and efficiency. Serving as a Human Capital Liaison, advising injured employees on worker compensation rights and union bargaining contracts.
