This role is ideal for a licensed professional who enjoys managing projects and teams, navigating the regulatory process, and contributing to the continued growth of a collaborative and well-established practice.What You'll DoAs a key member of our Land Development team, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of diverse site development projects, while mentoring staff and partnering with leadership to expand our footprint in the region.Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, landscape architects, and designers delivering high-quality civil/site designsOversee the full project lifecycle-from initial site visits and concept development through zoning and planning coordination, permitting, and construction documentsServe as a trusted advisor to clients across commercial, mixed-use, retail, industrial, energy, and other land development projectsCollaborate closely with the Practice Leader to grow the business by strengthening existing client relationships and developing new opportunitiesPrepare and oversee fee proposals, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitablyProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to support professional growth and project success across the teamConduct site visits, gather existing conditions data, and perform construction inspections as neededPartner with project assistants on project setup, invoicing, and closeout to ensure seamless project administrationPrepare technical reports, regulatory submittals, and client deliverables with a high level of quality and professionalismWhat We're Looking ForProfessional Engineer (PE) or Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license (required)Proven experience in land development engineering design, permitting, and regulatory processesDemonstrated success managing projects, teams, and client relationshipsStrong communication skills and a collaborative leaders ip styleExperience preparing fee proposals and managing project financialsA passion for mentoring and developing future engineering and design professionalsWhy KCIAt KCI, you'll join a 100% employee-owned firm where leadership, collaboration, and long-term growth matter. Participation in continuing education and professional development programs. Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery. Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Deep technical knowledge in the specific field of the project. Expertise in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans anddocumentation. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment. Strong negotiation skills to manage multiple contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively. Strong comprehension of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.Education and/or Work Experience Preferred: Master's Degree in related field (AEC Industry)Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required: Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
