Position Summary Reporting directly to the Director, Strategic Sourcingfor ITT (Connect & Control Technologies), theGlobal Sourcing Manageris a critical member of the Global Supply Management group responsible for enhancing overall supply chain performance through the effective management of ~$300M in global spend.This roleisresponsible forimplementingITTu2019s business strategy to your assigned categories andmaintainingthe best sources of supply.The Global Sourcing Managerisresponsible forbuilding strong supplier relationships and being proactive in mitigating supply chain challenges due toemergingeconomictrends around pricing,logistics, and geo-political risks. Working collaboratively with cross functional teams,this rolewillidentifyand champion complexity-reduction initiatives that will enhance profitability and service to customers. This is an on-siteposition that canbe located inValencia, Irvine,orEl Cajon, CAwith up to 50% travel. Essential Responsibilities + For the assigned categories, develop and implement sourcing / supply chain strategies to harness economies of scale, drive economic value, manage supply chain risk, and enable business growth at a global level in a multi-market-culture environment. + Lead complexand critical negotiationsutilizingextensive professional knowledge of principles and techniques of negotiation in the purchasing cycle. Provide global leadership for the major OEM suppliers. + Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history. + Leverage supplier management, category / commoditymanagementandtotal cost principles to oversee the supplier selection process within the respective businesses/sitesand encourage productive relationships withappropriate suppliersthat drive meaningful value. + Search,identify, qualify, develop, and manage suppliers to secure the best possible terms (cost, payment, inventory, etc.) while ensuring operational performance (quality, OTD, lead time, cost, etc.). + Partner with engineering, manufacturing,qualityand other category managers to drive value analysis and engineering (VAVE) savings. + Partner with NPD teams to obtain early supplier engagement to set expectations,optimizequality, supply reliability, while reducing risk and cost for new product launches. + Identifyand introduce new materials, technologies,andsupply chain capabilities to meet current and future needs of ITT products. + Other responsibilities as assigned. Position Requirements + Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or equivalent isrequired. + Minimum of 10 years of broadand global sourcing leadership experience, preferably in a highly regulated manufacturing organization, across a large multi-location, global business. + Global Sourcing contract negotiation skills. Experience in a mixed mode manufacturing environment, Engineer to Order, Low Volume / High Mix, and Configure to Order environment. + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of external and internal customers and stakeholders. Demonstrated experience influencing executives. + Working knowledge of Lean practices such as Daily Management, Standard Work, Kaizen,Heijunka, Poka-yoke, and Gemba. + Experience with a variety of commodities, including, but not limitedto:precision metalmachining,composites and plastics, injection molding,electronicsandcables. + Driveperformance with a sense of urgency and a commitment toworktogether as a team to achieve results. + Demonstrated success in a large-scale, global organization with the ability to work at both the strategic and detailed level. + English fluency isrequired, while ability to communicate in one or more of the following languages is highly beneficial: German, Italian,French,Chinese (Mandarin / Cantonese) + Travel up to 50% This position requiresuseof information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
