Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Respiratory Therapist,you’llplay an essential role in guiding patients through both routine care and critical moments.You’llperform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while managing invasive and noninvasive ventilation across a variety of care settings.You’llhave access to advanced respiratory technology, mentorship from experienced RT leaders, and the support of a dependable, collaborative team that will set you up for success and ongoing professional growth. Your role will include: Assessing respiratory statusby performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, anddeterminingthe need for respiratory interventions.Deliveringevidence-based therapyby providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.Managing ventilation and airwaysbyassistingwith artificial airway placement,initiatingand adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation,monitoringpatientresponses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.Supporting patients and the care teamby educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.Maintainingequipment and safetyby setting up,operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards. What qualifications you will need:Completionofa2 yearAMA approved program for Respiratory Therapist (RRT).Minimumof one (1) year experience in a respiratory therapy department.Must be aRegistry Eligible Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist and obtain Respiratory Care Practitioner Certificatein accordance withthe Texas Department ofHealth (RRT).CurrentCPR and ACLScertification from the American Heart Association for the healthcare providerupon hire;PALS andNRP from the American Heart Association for the healthcare providercertificationsrequiredwithin 3 months of hire At HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, superior healthcare meets the comfort and convenience of a comprehensive hospital, close to home, in Conroe, Texas.
