Accountable for leadership of skilled labor employees including all aspects of safety, quality, production and cost. Ensures the highest quality work in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.Plans, organizes and supervises shift production in accordance with priority goals and availability of resources to ensure adequate and timely completed repairs. Performs in process quality audits.Communicates work area status/activities to the Production Manager(s). Communicates with other work areas to facilitate smooth car flow.Uses technical experience, expertise and problem solving ability to achieve and maintain a quality repair. Maintains an effective work force by training, counseling and motivating agreement workers.Ensure that all necessary administrative work is complete and accurate.Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced production environment, preferably with 2-4 years mechanical finishing experiencePrevious supervisory experience preferred.Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Key Competencies:Strong Core Values (integrity, respect, ownership, teamwork, openness, creativity, positive attitude)Organizational skillsDetail-orientedCustomer focus (internal customers)Ability to work well with others in a positive mannerAbility to be flexible and to strive in a fast pace environmentLeadership abilityDecision MakingCommunication, both verbal and writtenProblem SolvingTechnical/Professional KnowledgeOther:Must be able to work in extreme temperature environmentsMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to climb ladders and perform work at elevated heightsMust be able to walk for extended periods of timeMust be able to sit/work in front of a computer for extended periods of timeMinimal travel may be required within the US and CanadaThis posting will remain open until the role is filled.As of the post date, the salary range for this position is:USD $68,600.00/Yr.USD $81,000.00/Yr.This role may be eligible to participate in the Company’s short-term incentive plan, the details of which will be provided to the applicant upon hire.This range is a reasonable estimate and takes into account several factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set, experience, education, training, internal equity, and other business needs.
