Reports to: Director of Facilities FLSA: Non-Exempt Supervises: N/A Department: Facilities Pay Rate: $35.00-$40.00 Position Mission The HVAC/Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the maintenance and service of restaurant kitchen equipment, including beverage systems, boilers, ice machines, freezers and HVAC work. Maintenance duties include the installation, service and repair of equipment. A company vehicle will be provided to ensure you are well equipped for the job. Responsibilities Include: u2022 Performs complex repairs on commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment. u2022 Manage installation, repair and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment. u2022 Diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions. u2022 Provides preventative maintenance activities. u2022 Maintains safe, clean and organized work area to include work vehicle, tools, manuals and parts. u2022 Uses various hand and power tools appropriately. u2022 Completes other repairs as needed. u2022 Deals with interruptions and successfully manages multiple tasks. u2022 Adheres to all company policies and procedures. u2022 Maintains behaviors and actions consistent with the company's values and standards. u2022 Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: u2022 Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record u2022 3+ years of experience in HVAC/Refrigeration is a must. u2022 Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. u2022 Must own your own tools. u2022 Experience working in HVAC/Refrigeration in the restaurant industry preferred. u2022 Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment is a plus. u2022 EPA Certification Type II or better required. u2022 Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule as dictated by the needs of the business u2022 Must be able to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment with many interruptions. u2022 Attention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration are necessary for working on difficult projects, balancing numerous tasks simultaneously, and meeting deadlines. u2022 Works well under pressure and tight timelines u2022 The ability to work weekends and travel as needed.
