Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in general ledger accounting and corporate tax, along with proficiency in Dynamics GP. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to ensure timely and precise financial reporting. u2022 Perform reconciliations across various accounts to verify the accuracy of financial data. u2022 Manage general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. u2022 Assist with corporate tax preparation, including calculations and documentation. u2022 Support the implementation and use of Dynamics GP for financial processes. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of accounting functions. u2022 Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making. u2022 Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting principles. u2022 Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. u2022 Offer support during audits and provide documentation as needed. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation. u2022 Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations and compliance. u2022 Proficiency in Dynamics GP or similar accounting software. u2022 Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. u2022 Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
