Lockheed Martin is looking for an energetic Systems Engineer - Early Career, to join the Next Generation GEO (NGG) team in Denver, Colorado. This position is in support of the NextGen OPIR program, responsible for testing interfaces with various USSF and Joint organizations and their supporting contractors, and will define the scope of testing necessary to demonstrate Space to Ground System Certification and prepare the vehicles for Operational Acceptance. In this role you will: u2022 u2022 Prepare for and participate in checkpoints for planned NextGen GEO enterprise deliveries u2022 Develop test approaches, objectives, plans, and procedures u2022 Collect vital test data and conduct analysis of test data to support objective assessment u2022 Provide technical support and information to government personnel performing operations, developmental test, and assist engineering teams in troubleshooting efforts u2022 Travel along the Front Range of Colorado on an occasional basis will be required, with possible out of state travel for technical interchange meetings, design reviews and other integration events Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Engineering or related field u2022 Familiarity with testing and problem solving for integrated systems u2022 Strong writing abilities u2022 Ability to obtain a final TS/SCI security clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Experience developing and executing test plans u2022 Experience with OPIR and/or SBIRS mission processing and/or vehicle pre-launch testing u2022 Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data u2022 Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge u2022 Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members u2022 Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change u2022 Active Secret security clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $60,200 - $106,030. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
