Medical Billing Specialist Location: Louisville, CO Pay: $24/hour Schedule: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Work Setting: On-site only (not a remote position) Adecco is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for a well-established Management Services Organization providing comprehensive administrative and revenue cycle services to gastroenterology practices and affiliated joint-ventured endoscopy centers is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to the revenue cycle and focuses on investigating outstanding and incorrectly adjudicated insurance claims while delivering excellent customer service to patients and internal clients. Key Responsibilities + Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to fully understand claim outcomes and identify required corrective actions + Research claim denials or incorrect processing and determine root causes + Prepare and submit appeals to facilitate claim reprocessing + Follow up on outstanding insurance claims via phone calls and payer portals + Submit accurate documentation for primary and secondary claims in a timely manner + Review unapplied credit reports for patient and insurance overpayments + Apply credits appropriately or submit refund requests to management for approval + Answer inbound calls and resolve patient billing inquiries professionally + Maintain detailed and accurate account notes for all patient interactions + Perform additional duties as assigned by management or physicians Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Maintains current knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes + Accepts feedback and actively works to improve performance + Demonstrates accountability for individual and departmental goals + Maintains strict confidentiality of patient and company information + Supports organizational mission, values, and team collaboration Minimum Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED required + Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections + Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette + Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians, management, and external partners + Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment + Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel + Experience with medical billing software required (Intergy experience preferred) Physical Demands & Work Environment + Office-based role requiring use of standard office equipment and computer systems + Ability to walk short distances within the office + Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers for typing and data entry + Requires close visual acuity for reading, data analysis, and computer work This is an on-site position in Louisville, CO and is not eligible for remote work .
