We are looking for a dedicated Director Security Services Programs like you to be a part of our team. Job Summary and Qualifications Job Summary: This individual will assume leadership of Physical Security Programs for all HCA facilities and locations. They will be responsible for the development and implementation of the enterprise physical security program including all aspects of physical security across our global organization. S/he will assist the Vice President to foster a safe climate and commitment to the vision, mission, and values of the organization. The position will develop, operationalize, and implement the enterprise risk-based strategic plan. S/he will assist in overseeing, leading, and measuring the performance of the enterpriseu2019s Physical Security program to include effective and efficient management of annual operations and capital expenses. In addition, s/he will maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, issues, and news to proactively identify and deliver strategy and program execution to minimize and mitigate risks related to physical security. S/he will stay abreast of legislative/ regulatory developments and trends to assess organizational impact and ensure compliance. The key areas of focus are: Establishment of a Governance/Oversight structure and processes for Physical Security risk mitigation efforts at all facilities including integrated lines of business in the U.S., U.K., and India. Collaborate with stakeholders in the development and execution of physical security programs including: + Enterprise Security + Workplace Violence Programs + Corporate Security, including Armed and Unarmed Security and Enhance Protection (Uniformed) + Technology strategies and initiatives + Data reporting and analytics + Vendor management u2013 strategies, contracting, goals, and service excellence + Technology projects and implementations + Corporate security Liaison to Cyber Defense Center (CDC) and Risk Intelligence and Information Center(RIIC) + Instruction and Training Development + Emergency Preparedness, Operations, and Response. + Joint Commission requirements / State Regulatory requirements / CMS standards + Special programs including drug diversion and human trafficking + Organizational Structure and Roles + Facility acquisition and divestitures Development and implementation of a comprehensive security program including assessing risk, and establishing security policies and procedures to mitigate against identified risks. Responsible for governance, deployment, and oversight of corporate security functions, including armed and unarmed security, enhanced protection (uniformed). Use of Force Investigations, training, law-enforcement coordination (Federal and State) and emergency response across corporate environments Accountable for the development and oversight of the Workplace violence prevention and response programs including Workplace Violence Standards, Resources & Technology, and Data & Reporting. Oversight and responsibility for all security technology initiatives, projects, implementations, and technology refresh including new technology certifications and technology platforms such as Access Control, Infant protection, Camera/Surveillance technology, Duress technology, and Detection Technology. Furthermore, this role will be responsible for Vendor Management and Vendor contracting and compliance. This role includes overseeing the performance of the physical security program through established key performance metrics, enterprise communications, service level agreements, and the effective and efficient management of annual operating and capital expenses. Success for this position will be measured in the ability to define a successful enterprise strategy for Security Services, gain stakeholders and leadership support, and work across multiple organizations to implement it. Responsibilities: + Develop and convey understanding of how physical security impacts every patient, employee, physician, contractor, volunteer, or visitor at all HCA facilities and is an essential component of critical company initiatives such as patient experience, recruiting and retaining nurses, making our facilities the hospital of choice for physicians, and employee engagement, Credentialing & Accreditation. + Directs, coordinates, and manages HCAu2019s complex security services program including leading the development of policies, guidelines, communications, awareness, and training for all HCA facilities. + Directs, coordinates, and manages HCAu2019s complex security services program including Workplace Violence programs + Directs, coordinates, and manages HCAu2019s complex security services program including all physical security technology. + Lead operational risk management activities related to the physical security of HCA hospitals, ILOBS, colleagues, patients, vendors, and visitors to enhance the companyu2019s and the brandu2019s value. + Identify global security services goals, objectives, and metrics consistent with the corporate strategic plan. + Ability to effectively and efficiently apply management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources. + Assist with the strategic research and evidence-based approach to physical security policy reform, transparency, and accountability as it relates to requirements from The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and State Regulatory agencies. + Assist with the hiring of field security for all business lines. Provide guidance, liaison, and assistance as needed to facilitate success in meeting physical security goals/objectives. + Participate in brainstorming, ideas generation, and budget/operations planning with senior leadership and others to set priorities and goals for each year, solve identified challenges and prioritize/plan activities. + Assist in vetting outside contracting, reviewing security contracts, security operations, and crisis/incident management and response planning. + Help identify appropriate security technologies and solutions that will positively impact operations, patient experience, and business objectives. + Lead and manage project implementations for systems such as infant protection, staff duress, camera/video platforms, and access control system, + Oversee emergency preparedness planning for the corporate campus and all HCA facilities + Provide business owner expertise for technology platforms for infant protection, staff duress, camera/video platforms, and access control system, + Collaborate with stakeholders and engage governance and company leadership to set priorities, based on risk, resources, and business priorities. + Support the execution of the strategic plan by leading governance, budgeting, communications, and technology project portfolio planning and oversight. + Implement and utilize highly technical and complex solutions to reduce risk and protect assets by leading project teams; and overseeing project implementation, financial and administrative oversight, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation of the projects. + Forges partnerships with all security colleagues and external clients on the security, and safety-related programs that he/she manages including law enforcement agencies. + Partners with Patient Safety, Regulatory and Accreditation, Employee Health and Safety, Clinical Services Group, and Information Technology Group on all security-related programs and projects. + Develop a meaningful set of key performance measures and analyze data from an enterprise, division, and facility-level + Stay abreast of healthcare security laws and regulations, trends, and services by building and maintaining internal and external professional relationships + Communicates with impact. Collaborates with Corporate, Division leadership, and other stakeholders to effectively cascade communication and key messages to colleagues within the Division and its markets. Liaisons with the broader IPS organization when necessary to ensure consistency in approach and the leveraging of SMEs where applicable and available. + Designs, develops and implements solid business and value measure/metrics, trending, and benchmarking. + Lead frequent interaction with key stakeholders from the group, division, market, facilities, and various Lines of Business. + Identify and develop close working relationships with stakeholder business units to coordinate, break down silos, and drive work forward - ITG field operations and corporate departments, Clinical Services, Group, Enterprise Emergency Operations and Preparedness, Human Resources Group, Physician Services Group, Ethics & Compliance, and Internal Audit. + Coordinate leadership decisions on physical security technology selection and use. + Coordinate leadership decisions on organizational structures supporting physical security programs. + Coordinate leadership discussions on resources and investments in Physical Security.
