Finish Carpenter in Nashville, TN Job Description We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our dynamic team. As a Finish Carpenter, you will perform a variety of construction and repair duties, focusing on carpentry and drywall tasks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to unique projects and grow with a new company. Responsibilities + Hang and finish drywall, including performing repairs. + Install and adjust doors, windows, and related hardware. + Perform painting tasks and trim carpentry duties. + Conduct light electrical and plumbing tasks, such as replacing light fixtures or fixing leaks. + Frame and install/hang drywall and conduct drywall repairs. + Clean up paint and caulking, and complete various repairs, such as fixing sliding glass doors or kitchen drawers. + Perform punch list duties and ensure project completion. Essential Skills + Minimum of 3 years of construction experience. + Proficiency in carpentry and drywall finishing/hanging. + Experience with trim carpentry and framing. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with commercial construction is highly advantageous. + Basic handyman skills, including light electrical and plumbing, painting, and framing. + Experience with installing doors, windows, and hardware, and adjusting cabinets. Work Environment Work a standard 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel to projects in the greater Nashville area and beyond. Enjoy project diversity, from punch list duties to renovation projects. Receive per diem and travel reimbursements when necessary. All necessary PPE will be provided, except for steel toe boots. Bring your own reliable transportation and basic tools, including hand and some power tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
