Sr. Financial Analyst

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering key financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business objectives and performance evaluation. u2022 Develop and maintain detailed financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability. u2022 Perform variance analysis to identify trends and deviations from financial plans. u2022 Provide ad hoc financial insights and reports to address specific business queries. u2022 Utilize data mining techniques to extract and analyze large datasets for actionable insights. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes. u2022 Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders. u2022 Assist in refining and enhancing financial processes and methodologies. u2022 Present financial findings and recommendations to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in financial analysis and modeling within a corporate environment. u2022 Strong expertise in conducting variance analysis and delivering actionable insights. u2022 Proficiency in ad hoc financial reporting and data mining techniques. u2022 Solid understanding of budgeting and forecasting principles. u2022 Advanced proficiency in financial tools and software, including Excel and other analytics platforms. u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data. u2022 Effective communication skills to present financial information clearly to stakeholders. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; advanced degree or certification preferred.
