Web Content Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Web Content Manager to oversee the creation, management, and optimization of web content for a large-scale online platform. This long-term contract position is based in Washington, District of Columbia, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while ensuring the highest standards in user experience and accessibility. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in content management systems, web development, and testing processes to ensure seamless functionality and user engagement. Responsibilities: u2022 Develop, manage, and maintain web content to ensure alignment with organizational goals and user needs. u2022 Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate web functionality, layout, and accessibility across multiple devices and browsers. u2022 Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve content-related issues. u2022 Optimize content for search engines and improve user navigation through effective HTML and CSS implementation. u2022 Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, including screen reader usability and keyboard navigation. u2022 Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to identify areas of improvement. u2022 Write and edit web page content to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines. u2022 Implement updates and enhancements to the content management system (CMS) as required. u2022 Log and prioritize defects, providing clear documentation for resolution. u2022 Plan and execute high-volume testing cycles to ensure comprehensive coverage. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in web content management or related roles. u2022 Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) for web page creation and updates. u2022 Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS with the ability to make adjustments for optimal functionality. u2022 Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect tracking tools. u2022 Familiarity with accessibility testing principles and tools, including screen readers. u2022 Demonstrated ability to write and edit web content for clarity and user engagement. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing high-volume tasks. u2022 Comfortable working collaboratively with developers and other stakeholders.
