This position is a great entrancepoint, allowing you to gain extensive hands-on experience in a rapidly evolving healthcare system.A caregiver in this position worksMon, Tue, Thu and Fri 8:30am—5:00pm Wednesday 9:30am—6:00pm One Saturday per month (8:00am—3:30pm).A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide a comprehensive set of insurance authorization services.Crosstraintostaffall areas of authorization supporting any facility, such as verification, pre-certification,eligibilityand benefits.Identifyand useappropriate reportsto contact insurance payers for resolution to accounts that are pending,deniedor in the appeal process.Flag accounts forhigh dollarfinancialclearance.Perform registration input to ensureaccuratepatient information for the authorization municate with physician offices to obtain clinical information and/or coordinate peer-to-peer conversations.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:HighSchoolDiploma or GED and twoyears of experience in a customer-facing role with in-person or phone contactORAssociate’sDegreeandoneyear of experienceORBachelor’sDegreeDemonstrated PC skillsHandlemultiple accounts in high volume insurance verification processesPhysical Requirements: Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $15.75Maximum hourly: $21.65The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
